Crusta Installation Instructions From Binary Packages

This page is currently under construction. It will provide bare-bones instructions for testers of the early binary releases of Crusta.

For the lastest and greatest, you can also install crusta from source.

Pre-requisites

Vrui

Crusta depends on the Vrui software framework. Version 2.1 is required. Please see installation instructions on the Vrui page

Linux

Your package manager should handle all the dependencies automatically, except for the vrui package (see above) that you must install manually.

Mac OS X

  • Mac OS X — Snow Leopard (10.6) or later required
  • XQuartz — there are some issues with the default Xserver please install the latest XQuartz from here (under “X11 Package”)

Download Crusta binary

  • Mac OS X — Simply drag the 'Crusta' and 'Construo' application bundles to a folder of your choice.
    • note: files produced by the applications will be saved to that folder.
